This model features a three-stage cleaning system and two multi-surface brushes to grab dirt from carpets and hard floors, while an edge-sweeping brush takes care of corners and edges. Dirt detection sensors alert your robot to the dirtiest areas of your home, like high-traffic areas, and carefully suck up dirt, dust, pet hair and crumbs while you relax.

When finished, simply empty the dust collection bin and allow Roomba to return to its charging base before the next cleaning session.

what people say

If you’re looking to take the work out of vacuuming, buyers agree the Roomba 692 is a worthwhile investment, especially at its current selling price of just $249.

“This little guy is amazing,” shared one reviewer who found this Roomba “picks up all the hair and dust.”

Pet owners have also been impressed with this robotic vacuum, with one dog owner sharing that it “literally grabs EVERYTHING” and manages to get into “every nook and cranny”.

“This thing changes your life,” reads one review.

“Just running it daily is such a help,” added another.

Unlike some other more expensive iRobot vacuums, the Roomba 692 does not come with advanced mapping features. Some reviewers have found that because of this, it leads to snags on things like cords or other small items that can be left on the floor.

Reviewers suggest this affordable model works best in small spaces or areas that are “virtually clutter free”.

The verdict

For an effortless way to make sure your floors stay clean, a robot vacuum is the way to go. While many models will set you back hundreds of dollars, the Roomba 692 is a more affordable alternative at its current list price of $249.

This model is ideal for small spaces with a simple layout and easily picks up crumbs, pet hair and dust. Buyers say it’s “a breeze” to install and start cleaning, however, it may not work well if you often find your floors cluttered with large items.
