Southside Virginia’s 100 Mile Garage Sale is scheduled for this Saturday

SOUTHSIDE – Southside Virginia’s 100-mile garage sale is back for this weekend as a long run of garage sale locations take place on Saturday, July 2. The 100-mile garage sale connects nearby locations including Keysville, Farmville, Blackstone, Drakes Branch, Meherrin, Green Bay and more.

The route includes several areas such as Meherrin in Keysville and downtown Drakes Branch. From Keysville you can take Rt. 15 North to Farmville then Bus. Rt. 460 East to Rice, Bus. 360/460 to Burkeville and Bus. Rt. 460 in Crewe, Nottoway Courthouse and Blackstone.

The route also includes going west from Keysville on US Route 360, turning left on Route 47 South then right on Route 49 South (Main Street) into Chase City.

There are plenty of sales along the way this year, but below are just a few places that should be holding sales.

Black stone:

—Blackstone Volunteer Fire Department, 318 Church St Blackstone

Burkeville:

—Burkeville Volunteer Fire Department Thrift Sale. 224 Second Street, Burkeville. All money raised benefits the Burkeville Volunteer Fire Department. Open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

— Burkeville Presbyterian Church. 314 McLean Street, Burkeville. Books, toys, household items, clothing and more!

Crewe:

—Crewe Flea Market, 720 E Virginia Ave. Several vendors, just off 460 opposite Crewe Country Club. Plenty of parking! Seats available for only $5!

—3852 Ordinary Jennings Road. Tie dye, tumblers, wreaths, coasters ALL handmade. Motorcycle parts/accessories, assorted items, plants, planters and more!

—Multi-family sale, across from Tyson (Rt. 360/Patrick Henry Highway). Sale Friday afternoon and Saturday, weather forecast!

Charlotte Courthouse:

—Charlotte Learning Center, 395 Jefferson Hwy, Charlotte Court House. Accommodation of miscellaneous items for sale: books, clothes, toys, house, etc. Spaces available at $10 each. Plenty of extra space on the lot behind the building, if needed!

Chase City:

—5570 Fort Mitchell Dr.: farm equipment, furniture, books, antiques, clothing, bric-a-brac

Drake Branch:

—Charlotte County Farmer’s Market at Drake’s Branch, 150 Depot St., Drakes Branch Several vendors under the pavilion. Food, fun, bargains and funnel cake! Don’t miss this new hot spot, sure to be a hub of activity for years to come!

Farmville:

—The Big Red Farmville Flea Market, 41 Lakeside Dr., Farmville. Antiques, collectibles, clothing, jewelry and more! Spaces available for rent starting at $10!

—Mottley’s Emporium, 518 N Main St. HUGE sidewalk sale! Many items at only $1! Something for everyone: kitchen utensils, jeans, books, glassware, tools. Some discounted furniture. Stop on your way through Farmville. Visit on Facebook at Mottley Emporium!

—Prince Edward’s Elks Lodge, 636 South Main St. Various vendors offering many items ranging from clothing to home decor. Fish fry with good sides! Seats available at $10 per seat! 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

—Folk art by Kathryn, 6443 Farmville Rd. (US 15) Sellers Wanted! Pastries, and possibly a food truck! Located in Worham. Worsham is a short drive (6.5 miles) from downtown Farmville. Look for the “Folk Art by Kathryn” road sign and the “Open” flag!

Green Bay:

—The Great Green Bay Sale! (in the fields next to Dollar General, 8255 W Patrick Henry Hwy.). 10 x 10 seats for only $10 (no inflation here!). Dozens of vendors and the potential of a food truck!

Jeterville:

—Hope Thrift Store, 20300 Maplewood Rd, Jetersville. Corner of 360 and Maplewood Rd. near the dump. Come see Jeannette or Sara and reserve your spot! Plenty of parking. Furniture, household items and decoration, clothing and much more!

Keyville:

—1055 King St Located within city limits, next to Keysville Manor Apartments

—121 Jackson Court Rd. Lots of items! Furniture such as sofas, loveseats, chairs and tables, coffee tables lots of laundry detergent, household items, new clothes, shoes designer handbags

Meherrin:

-725 Price-Gee Road – Seven families selling anything and everything, furniture, antiques, collectibles, housewares, toys, clothing, books, outdoor items, utensils kitchen supplies, plants, crafts, pet supplies, DVDs and MUCH more! Weather permitting, we will also be set up on Friday afternoon. We are behind the Stop N Shop Exxon on 360 look for our many signs thank you!

Nottoway Courthouse:

Rice:
