TOP acts as the Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be part of the ‘awesome’ talent performing at a former strip mine near Kelty to celebrate the Queen’s 70th birthday.
And TV presenter, magician and comedian Stephen Mulhern urges people not to miss the Platinum Jubilee Youth Spectacular, a weekend of entertainment taking place in a newly built arena on the former site of St Ninians.
Performers confirmed to date include The Imps motorcycle display team, the world’s first youth display team; Katie Robertson, the award-winning “Wheeled Piper”; Bagpipes and Massive Drums of Scottish Schools; Massive military bands; Highland dancers; and the world famous Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
The event is part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and takes place on Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19.
Stephen Mulhern said: “I am incredibly thrilled to be hosting this amazing event.
“Bringing together a fabulous line-up of talented young artists on what was a former mining site is truly impressive.

The event is sponsored by National Pride UK, who jointly own the site and plan to develop an eco-therapeutic leisure and wellness park on the former mine, and is organized by local events manager Michael Boyle and l former impresario of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. , Brigadier Sir Melville Jameson.
