New Delhi: Jaipur-based electric scooter maker HOP Electric Mobility on Monday launched its electric motorcycle, HOP OXO, with prices starting at INR 1.25 lakhs. Consumers can purchase the new model at dealerships or on the company’s website.
Ketan Mehta, CEO and Founder of HOP Electric Mobility, said, “Electric is taking the Indian market by storm. This growth is propelled by consumer inclinations towards sustainable, convenient and affordable mobility solutions. HOP OXO is the result of years of R&D, road testing and the hard work of hundreds of HOP employees who poured their sweat and blood into launching the most progressive e-bike on the market.
“Given that our dealer partners have already completed 5,000 pre-launch registrations, we anticipate tremendous hyper growth in this category. We are continuously working to further strengthen our product portfolio,” he said.
The model is launched in two variants – HOP OXO and HOP OXO X.
According to the company, HOP OXO comes with an advanced five-inch information display with an IP67 rating for protection against dust, dirt, and splashing water.
The model operates on a 72 V architecture with a 6200 Watt peak power motor delivering 200 Nm of torque to the wheels. It has 3 driving modes (eco, power and sport) with an additional turbo mode for OXO X.
HOP OXO-X has a top speed of 90 km/h in Turbo mode and accelerates from 0 to 40 km in 4 seconds.
Powered by an advanced lithium-ion battery with smart BMS and 811 NMC cells, OXO comes with a 3.75 KWh battery pack offering a true range of 150 km per charge, the automaker claimed.
OXO can be charged at any 16 amp outlet with its portable smart charger. 0 to 80% charge in less than 4 hours, he says.
OXO also benefits from features such as regenerative braking, 4G connectivity and a partner mobile app that unlocks features such as speed control, geolocation, anti-theft system and driving statistics.
Currently, the company’s product portfolio includes two electric scooters, HOP LEO and HOP LYF, offered in three variants each.
