Bajaj Auto has introduced a new member to its Pulsar series in India. The new bike launched in India is the Pulsar N160 and it is the third variant of the new pulsar series. The Pulsar N160 shares the same platform as the Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250. The Pulsar N160 is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Engine
The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 is powered by a 164.8cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. The 164.8 cc engine offers a maximum power of 16 hp with a maximum torque of 14.65 Nm. Compared to the Pulsar NS160, the Pulsar N160 generates less power by 1.2 hp. However, the torque of the motor remains the same.
Design
The overall design of the new Bajaj Pulsar N160 remains the same as the N250. The motorcycle has a naked street fighter style similar to its older brother with a windshield. The rear of the bike is equipped with dual LED taillights and a split grab rail. Even the alloy wheels of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 are identical to those of the Pulsar N250. The fuel tank of the motorcycle is 14 liters. The semi-digital instrument panel offers important information such as gear position, clock, fuel consumption and range.
Brake and suspension
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 gets an option for single channel ABS or dual channel ABS. On the single-channel ABS version, the bike gets a 280mm front disc as well as a 230mm rear disc. Likewise, the dual-channel ABS variant offers a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. In terms of suspension, the front suspension is a 37mm telescopic fork type while the rear unit is a monoshock suspension. In terms of weight, the single channel version weighs 152 kg while the dual channel version is only 2 kg more.
